Many of our long term residents have previously stayed with us for a respite break for many different reasons. It may be a friend or carer is away, a period of post op recovery after time in hospital , as a result of a fall, an operation or a major illness. For many respite represents an opportunity for a trial period if uncertain about moving into a care home permanently or for those who just need a break themselves. Residents will receive high standards of personalised quality care and comfort however short, or long. Taking a break from the usual routine can makes a huge difference for families and friends for both carers and for those that are being cared for providing the medical and therapeutic support needed in a relaxing setting, helping them to get back on their feet or providing a much needed break before returning home.
