During my grandparents stay at the home, they were given outstanding care. They were always telling me how amazing the service was and how friendly the staff were. The home is in a lovely location and the staff will go above and beyond to help you, no matter your needs. Highly recommend.

My Mum fell in January and fractured her hip and came here for respite following surgery. During her time here she flourished physically and mentally. She benefited massively from the in house physio and thrived on the company. Every time I came to visit she was usually in the lounge joining in with the activities which were varied and even if she didn’t want to join in she would comfortably sit and watch. She ate well and enjoyed the food very much which bearing in mind she trained many years ago in cookery and was an excellent cook and baker was high praise indeed. When she was ready for discharge she said if it hadn’t been for her dog she would have stayed and sadly having now lost her dog and becoming increasingly isolated in her flat she has chosen to return and live full time at Drumconner.

Very kind and compassionate care staff, I highly recommended. Very efficient and also luxurious care home. The food is lovely, people are treated with dignity. Efficient management. Also, I felt very safe during Covid as all staff have been respecting all rules regarding PPE.

My mother spent her last 8 months in Drumconner before she died and they looked after her fantastically. The staff were exemplary, the catering was delicious and the accommodation was spot on! The welcome was always warm, we were encouraged to join Mum for Sunday lunch and even Christmas dinner too. I felt very confident she received the very best care and I would heartily recommend Drumconner.

My friend spent 6 weeks at Drumconner as a respite resident following a fall and a hip fracture at home. She has not stopped talking about it since! It was, in her words, the most amazing place with wonderful, friendly staff, who could not have been more helpful. The facilities were excellent, she had a large room with a walk-in shower and incredible sea views, staff and management did everything in their power to keep people safe and happy. Although I could not visit, staff were always at hand to help with Skype calls. She had regular 3 weekly physio sessions by their own in-house physio and joined in many imaginative and interesting activities.

The care my mother received under the covid circumstance was exceptional, and believe she could not have been looked after any better. The staff and management team worked relentlessly providing the needs of my mother under extreme pressure. A big thank you to all the team that looked after mum.

Really happy with how they’re looking after my grandmother, especially as she needs extra care which the staff are able to provide. Speaking of staff, they’re lovely and very knowledgeable which is enormously reassuring. Gran loves it there, she’s always singing its praises (she jokes that if she had known the food was going to be that good she’d have moved in long ago!). They have a lot of activities too, which is so important, and as for facilities, all very modern and the place is spotless. With everything going on right now, it’s such a relief that Gran is getting the best care that she can. Thank you!

This is a very good nursing home specialising in the care of frail people at the end of their life, although some are younger – the house has been attractively decorated with a lot of thought but manages to look homely as well. My husband arrived here from hospital on 27th June 2017 with vascular dementia and many other problems. He is unable to walk, feed himself and incontinent. I see him every day – the staff treat him with skill, kindness and patience. Many are young and have to face distressing situations as well as the matron, her assistant and the staff in general, all must be praised. I would be distraught if my husband had to move.

When she was first diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, my wife told me that, when we couldn’t manage at home any longer, she wished to go into Drumconner nursing home, having heard from others of its good reputation. She moved in there in January 2018 and I have nothing but praise for the way she is being looked after. The nursing staff and carers show that they understand my wife’s needs, the food and catering staff are also good, and she has a lovely room with access to a beautiful garden.

My mother resided at Drumconner for five and a half years. The staff were exceptional, not only caring for my mother but also the family. She was treated with dignity, kindness, patience and friendliness. Her room was always kept clean, tidy and welcoming. Although my mother passed away earlier this year I like to visit the staff which I did today.

Nothing could have been better. Warm, friendly helpful, caring staff in a clean and nice atmosphere. The catering was exceptional. Our uncle was a very happy chappie. For him, sitting in his room able to see the sea was the icing on the cake.

Drumconner is run efficiently. The staff are friendly and extremely capable. They treat all the residents with kindness, compassion and respect. No request is too much. The home gives off an air of calmness along with a friendly atmosphere. I know my relative is safe and well cared for, and in a good place.

My granny was in the home for a short period. Her death was unexpected and came sooner than we thought. The care staff were brilliant, they treated my granny with respect and dignity. The management, one member in particular, have been wonderful with the admittance and support with the financial side. Residents are lovely and there is a lovely atmosphere. Would 1,000,000% recommend.
