Drumconner Bournemouth was opened in 1988 by Sir Thomas Lees and has since expanded whilst maintaining its high standards of care. The Drumconner Care Home has the comfort and personal well-being of every resident at heart. We have over 30 single rooms most featuring en-suite facilities and one spacious double room to offer potential residents. Located near Pool Road, not far from Bournemouth Town, the Drumconner Care Home has all the peacefulness of a country retreat with the convenience of the nearby seaside.
Drumconner Bournemouth Care Home is registered to house up to 35 male and female residents over the age of 18. The care services we provide is for both nursing and residential. If it’s for elderly clients needing permanent care or younger clients in need of respite care, we can provide the care service our resident needs. Here at Drumconner we are proud of our excellent reputation for provide outstanding care, and most importantly, caring about the personal needs of each resident. We stand by the ethos that each resident will be unique so their care needs are tailored accordingly. Drumconner has built excellent relations with local General Practitioners and other professionals so there is always outstanding support for each resident.
Located in the beautiful town of Bournemouth, the Drumconner care home retains many of its original features. The guests are first greeted by an open and welcoming reception area which leads to the grand stair case. The old ballroom has been converted into a dining room where all of the clients and guests will take their meals and watch live entertainment. The room is beautifully decorated with a solid wood parquet floor. The clients have the choice of two other sitting rooms and a library, all of which are tastefully decorated.
We have recently completed the extension on the Drumconner Bournemouth Care Home and our brand new luxurious bedrooms are ready for occupation. Named after local areas like Abbotsbury, Bryanston, Canford and more, these rooms high-spec equipment to ensure total comfort and ease of living for the resident and care staff.
Each room features overhead hoists, electric profiling beds and comfortable seating areas. Each room has been carefully decorated in neutral tones to allow for personalisation and offer lots of natural light. For those who love a personal garden space, one of the ground floor rooms features a lovely patio area overlooking the pristinely kept gardens.
We also offer hydrotherapy facilities which are useful for a range of medical conditions. With the rooms we offer a choice of bathrooms which have been adapted for special needs, those with mobility limitations have use of a specifically equipped wet room. There is also an onsite hairdressing salon which offers a full range of hairdressing services for the residents and guests.
The rooms are decorated to a neutral, pleasing , traditional but high class standard with fresh colours to help reflect the natural light. The larger rooms allow the resident the option of bringing their own furniture.

We can arrange and book any of these services and ensure that you are getting the value you need from the individual charges.
We are also proud to offer weekly therapies at no extra cost to the residents. A qualified Complementary Therapist visits weekly and provides a range of therapies from Hopi ear candles to reflexology. Other therapies available are manual lymphatic drainage and combined de-congestive therapy. Residents can really benefit from having access to weekly treatments and we feel this is a unique aspect of the care home.

Bus: All major bus routes from Bournemouth and Poole stop within a short distance of the home.
Car: Take the M3 from London to Chandlers Ford, then follow the M27 West and then change onto the A31 past Ringwood. Take the A338 –Wessex Way- for about 8 miles until a roundabout, take the first exit- B3066 and then at the next roundabout take the third exit onto Poole Road. Drumconner Care Home will be about 500yards on the right past the traffic lights.
